Beskrivning

Hunter & Macalpine pp. 693-694. Wellcome III, p. 264. Complete with the errata leaf. Binder ticket on first endpaper. Hill wrote this critical compilation, leavened by an appendix of twenty-nine personally observed cases. As the title implies, he stressed preventive and curative aspects, and perhaps as the result of seeing malingering among the Chester garrison, discussed ‘the detection of pretenders to madness’.
