(4), 30 pp. The first leaf contains signature-mark A in part of a woodcut frame. 20th century full calf in old style, gilt title to spine, covers with blind stamped borders. Very fine copy. First leaf slightly soiled, else a very clean interior. From the library of Denis Leigh, with his name label on fly-leaf.

Hunter & Macalpine p. 92 ‘The Court of Wards and Liveries was established in 1540 by the Act of Parliament 32 Henry VIII c.41 which invested it with the custody of idiots and lunatics and their property’. It was abolished in 1672. This Commission was issued by James I to protect the interests of the ward. STC 9239. Not in Wellcome.According to Worldcat only registred in 8 libraries worldwide.
