During ten years of existence (1962-1972) and twenty-four issues published, Midi-Minuit Fantastique did established itself as a publication both playful and demanding, abundant and avant-garde which captured in real time an age of gold of the seventh art and gave birth to a subversive ‘politics of horrors’. The magazine was dedicated to the fantastique, horror and science fiction films of the 1960s. It had a guide to the Parisian film theatres showing those cultish genres. Some Midi Minuit Fantastique issues were dedicated to special themes (King Kong, Dracula, The Most Dangerous Game).
